New Hope Church (Camden, Mich.) is looking for a fulltime Associate Pastor of Worship and Assimilation. This person would work in two areas:

1. Coordinate Worship activities. These include, but are not limited to: 

• Must be willing to lead change within our current style to enhance our worship environment to reach the younger generation.
• Supervise all music ministries, and other program personnel such as sound and light personnel.
• Should be able to play an instrument and lead worship (i.e. guitar, keyboard, piano etc.)
• Conduct worship services and generally “be in charge” in Senior Pastor’s absence.

2. Coordinate Assimilation activities. These include, but are not limited to:

• Facilitate the follow-up of visitors to the church, in conjunction with the Lead Pastor.
• Provide entry points for visitors and potential attendees to interact with the congregation.
• Provide entry points of service, related to the newcomers’ level of spiritual commitment.

Some of the requirements and expectations of this position are:

• Espouse an unquestioned and vital commitment to Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord. 
• Demonstrate effectiveness in personal witness and in the implementation of an effective music ministry and in support of creative worship experiences. 
• Demonstrate effectiveness in church body assimilation.
• Have a personal character and lifestyle, family life, emotional and physical state of health that is acceptable in accordance with 1 Timothy 3. 
• Be flexible with the growing demands of an evangelical, community focused church.

New Hope Church is a small but vibrant church that is creating some exciting opportunities to reach their community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are located in a very rural community. We feel that the way in which we worship God with our praises and songs can be used as an incredible element of continued growth. We currently use a blended worship style and are in need of taking our worship experience to the next level.

As we continue to grow, this position will also play a crucial role in assimilating the new believers into the local body of Christ.
